Lawmakers Plowing Ahead With Comp Bills

Virginia's legislature is steaming ahead with at least five bills that could affect workers' compensation claims, including a COVID-19 presumption, expansion of coverage to domestic workers and limits on the effect that personal protective equipment may have on worker classification. The House of Delegates Tuesday night voted 55-43 to pass House Bill 2032, by Del. Wendy Gooditis, D-Clarke, which would require that housemaids and other domestic workers be covered by comp insurance.
