The Department of Labor is seeking public comment on a proposal to extend the collection of medical information used to support coal miners' black lung claims.
The collection initiative takes the form of the Division of Coal Mine Workers' Compensation's form CM-936, titled "Authorization for Release of Medical Information." Coal miners seeking benefits for pneumoconiosis, or black lung, fill out the form to authorize medical providers to release their information to support their claims.
