AMA Releases CPT Codes for Coronavirus Vaccine

The American Medical Association on Thursday announced two Current Procedural Terminology codes for coronavirus vaccines and four new codes for administering the vaccine. “The new CPT codes clinically distinguish each coronavirus vaccine for better tracking, reporting and analysis that supports data-driven planning and allocation,” the AMA said in a statement. “Importantly, these CPT codes are available prior to the public availability of the vaccines to facilitate updating of health care electronic systems across the U.S.” The CPT codes for COVID-19 vaccines are: ...
