Insurance Company of the Americas, or ICA, has been ordered into liquidation by a Florida court, a step that brings the workers’ comp carrier's years-long saga closer to an end.
ICA was placed into liquidation on Jan. 24 by the Second Judicial Circuit Court for Leon County, a move to which the carrier consented. The Florida Department of Financial Services’ Division of Rehabilitation and Liquidation is the court-appointed receiver.
