A Louisiana appellate court's ruling in a silent PPO case against First Health will cost parent Coventry Health Care $278 million, the company announced.As reported Friday by WorkCompCentral, the 3rd Circuit Court of Appeal upheld a $262 million judgment against Coventry's workers' comp medical network, First Health Group Corp., for discounting medical providers' charges to PPO contract rates without providing adequate notice.
