Opioid prescriptions in New Jersey and New Hampshire would have to include special colored stickers and warnings of addiction and overdose risk associated with the drugs, under recently signed bills.
New Jersey’s Democrat Gov. Phil Murphy on July 15 signed A3292. The bill requires pharmacists to affix a warning sticker describing risks associated with opioids.
The warning sticker would have a red background with white text unless different colors are specified as part of the rulemaking process to decide the exact language that must be used.
