A national organization with a mission to combat insurance fraud has named its first woman co-chair, according to a news release.
The Coalition Against Insurance Fraud announced Tuesday that it has selected Michelle Rafeld as the organization’s new public interest co-chair.
The NAIC said Rafeld is the first woman appointed to a co-chair role with the organization since its founding nearly 30 years ago.
Rafeld currently works as vice chair of the NAIC Antifraud Task Force. She is also the assistant director of fraud and enforcement for the Ohio Department of Insurance.
