ReEmployAbility CEO Debra Livingston to speak at Florida RIMS July 27th

Brandon, FL (June 23, 2022) - CEO Debra Livingston will join Dr. Claire Muselman at Florida RIMS July 27th at 1:30 p.m. for a discussion on "How Volunteering Impacts Employees Mental Health Emerging from COVID Social Distancing."
Livingston and Dr. Muselman will lead a discussion on volunteering's impact on employees, especially after they were isolated from COVID social distancing measures and offices utilize remote work opportunities. Using experiences with the human connection and empathy needed in workers' compensation, they will discuss how volunteering benefits employees physically, personally, and professionally, while fostering employee engagement and community goodwill.
Dr. Muselman's prior experience includes almost two decades in the insurance space, being a thought leader in workers' compensation. She also speaks nationally on a variety of topics specific to leadership, self-development, insurance, and risk looking to change the industry professional at a time.
"Those with whom we are empowering today will be the decision-makers tomorrow," said Dr. Muselman. "Advocacy is not enough, we need empathic, emotionally intelligent leaders who understand the bigger picture of keeping employees SAFE, returning injured humans to functional, contributing members of society and more importantly, making sure our colleagues are able to return to their families and their lives. Since Livingston founded ReEmployAbility, getting injured workers back to meaningful work has been her passion. She has connected volunteers to thousands of nonprofits organizations across the US, providing over 14.7 million hours of community service to communities nationwide. She understands the benefit and importance volunteering has on an individual and their mental health.
"Volunteering truly benefits everyone - the community, the organization, and especially the individual volunteering," said Livingston. "Volunteering benefits our sense of social connections, something we really lost during the pandemic. It also boosts mental health which is especially important in the recovery process for an injured worker."
