In keeping with a Louisiana law that requires claims adjusters to be licensed, the Louisiana Department of Insurance and the Louisiana Association of Self-Insured Employers will host a seminar to help aspiring adjusters pass the exam.
Attorneys with the firm of Breazeale, Sachse & Wilson will also lead the half-day workshop, which will be held Dec. 4 at the Louisiana Bankers Association in Baton Rouge. The seminar, which begins at 9 a.m., will offer four to six hours of continuing education for adjusters, case managers and human resource professionals.

OR - SAIF Kicks Off Agricultural Safety Training

Oregon’s SAIF Corp. is launching its annual agricultural safety training program at the end of October with the first of 28 seminars that will run through March.
The goal of the program is to reduce the approximately 1,500 injuries sustained by agricultural workers each year, Reva Hartenstein, senior safety management consultant at SAIF said in a statement.
