Bill Would Beef Up Information-Sharing in Fraud Cases

Legislation was introduced in the California Assembly on Tuesday that would require government agencies to release information on workers’ comp fraud investigations to other agencies when requested. Under Assembly Bill 2046, by Assemblyman Tom Daly, D-Anaheim, the agency requesting the information would be seeking it for investigation, prosecution, or prevention of insurance fraud or workers’ compensation fraud.
