The U.S. Department of Labor on Tuesday said it adopted a new rule updating its hazard communication standard that takes effect July 19.
The revised rule requires labels on small packages to be “more comprehensive and readable and makes changes to help ensure trade secrets no longer prevent workers and first responders from receiving critical hazard information on safety data sheets.”
