The U.S. Department of Labor is launching a pilot program in its Western region to speed up processing of whistleblower claims.
Under the program, called the Expedited Case Processing Pilot, complainants in some cases can ask the Occupational Safety and Health Administration to stop its investigation and issue findings for the DOL's Office of Administrative Law Judges to consider. The case must meet certain criteria.
