Florida lawmakers this year approved benefits for first responders who suffer from PTSD, but other changes to the state's workers' compensation system — long sought by business and insurance interests — will have to wait until next year.
"We're not disappointed," said Bill Herrle, executive director of the National Federation of Independent Businesses in Florida. "It's through the glass, darkly, really, but it's hard for us to pass a good bill on attorney fees in the face of decreasing rates."
