The Santa Clara County District Attorney's Office has charged an uncertified interpreter with fraud because of bills she submitted to workers’ compensation carriers, and the agency is monitoring other interpreting firms in Northern California for similar suspected violations. Prosecutors say Gabriela Pacheco, 46, submitted bills for interpretation services that were illegal or that were never provided.
