OSHA Cites FedEx Ground Packaging for Repeat Violation Involving Lack of a Conveyor Belt Guard

FedEx Ground Packaging System Inc. faces $44,000 in fines after the federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration cited the company for a repeat violation at its distribution center in Wilmington, Massachusetts. OHSA said the company failed to properly guard a conveyor belt, thus exposing employees to injuries. The company had previously been cited for similar violations at facilities in Grove City, Ohio, and Syracuse, New York.
