The Texas Division of Workers' Compensation will evaluate health care providers in 2021 mostly on their work-status reports and medical evaluation reports, the division said Tuesday.
The DWC is required by state law to assess providers' performance, every odd year, and the division announces the criteria a year ahead of time. For 2021, regulators will examine how well Form 073, the work-status report, is completed and supported with documentation showing how the injured worker's medical condition prevents return to work.
