The Florida Division of Workers’ Compensation reported that medical payments in 2019 across nine categories of care provided to injured workers totaled more than $1.7 billion, up from $1.6 billion in 2018.
Within 12 months of injury, total payments to Florida providers reached just over $1 billion, the DWC said in its 2020 Results & Accomplishments Report.
