A Los Angeles school teacher was arrested Tuesday for allegedly lying about injuries he sustained in a fight with a student, the California Department of Insurance announced.
What’s more, the department said the teacher actually started the fight with the student.
Eric Johnson, 61, filed a workers’ compensation claim for injuries he said he sustained during an altercation with a 17-year-old at the Camp Mendenhall juvenile facility. Johnson said the student started the fight by striking him in the face and shoving him into a wall.
