BCAM Purchases AmFed Insurance Group

An investor group led by the Builders and Contractors Associations of Mississippi Self-Insurers Trust has purchased AmFed Companies from Companion Property & Casualty Insurance Co., according to a local report.Located in Jackson, BCAM is the largest workers’ compensation insurance fund of its type in Mississippi. BCAM Board Chairman Donnie Massey said AmFed, which is based in Ridgeland, has served as BCAM’s third-party administrator for the past 17 years.
