House Passes RTW Bill, TD Clarification Moving through Senate

The New Mexico House of Representatives unanimously passed a bill that would prohibit an injured worker from collecting temporary disability benefits when an employer offers work at or above pre-injury wages. The prohibition in House Bill 250, by Rep. Randal S. Crowder, R-Curry, would apply regardless of whether the worker accepts the offer. The bill would also declare that an injured worker who returns to work and is then fired for misconduct would not be allowed to collect TD benefits. Crowder's bill would also apply to modifiers used to increase permanent partial disability awards...
