Report: More Than Two-Thirds of U.S. Falls Sustained by Working-Age Adults

Researchers at Boston-based property and casualty insurer Liberty Mutual Group found that more than two-thirds of the 9.9 million fall-related injuries in the U.S. each year are sustained by working-age adults. Among U.S. adults, the total lifetime cost of fall-related injuries was $111 billion in 2010, researchers found. The researchers studied data collected by the National Health Interview Survey from 2008 to 2014, determining that fall injuries are spread evenly among age groups.
