The Texas Division of Workers’ Compensation is seeking public comment on informal draft amendments to its rules governing lifetime income benefits.
The DWC said the amendments are necessary to implement House Bill 2468, which was enacted earlier this year. The bill redefined eligibility for lifetime income benefits to require that a person has "a major, permanent neurocognitive disorder” for which he needs occasional supervision of routine daily tasks of self-care and that renders him permanently unemployable.
