A bill that would establish a process for appealing the federal government’s determination of Medicare set-aside amounts, and make other changes to the MSA process, has been introduced in Congress. H.R. 4161, also known as the Coordination Of Medicare Payments and Workers’ Compensation, or COMP Act, was introduced Aug. 2 by Rep. Mike Thompson, D-California. It has been referred to two committees: Ways and Means, and Energy and Commerce.
