The California Division of Workers' Compensation could improve its proposed copy service fee schedule rules by defining terms and providing more clarity, according to comments from system users.
Earlier in August, the division posted to its online forum proposed regulations that would increase the payment for professional photocopy services by about 16%. When the division in 2015 adopted a copy service fee schedule as directed by Senate Bill 863, it called for a flat fee of $180 to obtain records from one source, with the intention of reducing confusion and improper billing practices.
