New York's workers' compensation system in 2017 appeared to have added a bit of oil to the machine, with increasingly timely payments by insurers, fewer administrative hearings and fewer established claims, according to the Workers' Compensation Board's latest Annual Report.
The 2017 report, released last week, shows a number of trends in the workers' compensation arena and suggests that the state may be addressing some black marks it has received in recent years.
Business interests, however, said the report does not show many major changes.
