PEO Registration Bill Heads to Governor's Desk

Missouri is poised to become the 41st state to establish a licensing requirement for professional employer organizations, assuming Gov. Eric Greitens — who has been under felony indictment since March — signs the legislation. State lawmakers gave final approval to the measure on Tuesday. The law would, among other things, require PEOs to register with the state Department of Insurance and prove they’re fiscally capable of undertaking the role of outsourced human resources.
