Prosecutors Take Different Tacks Toward Restitution in Comp Fraud Cases

While federal prosecutors in Los Angeles are asking for only about $12 million in restitution out of $500 million billed by a hospital owner who was convicted of paying kickbacks, federal prosecutors in San Diego are throwing the book at a doctor who paid kickbacks.
