BLS: Number of Insurance Jobs Growing More Slowly

The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics has reported a growth of 3,300 insurance jobs in May, a 19% decrease in job growth as compared to April. Employment in the insurance carriers and related activities subsector grew by 0.13%, and now sits at 2,594,400 employed insurance workers with an unemployment rate of 2.6%, according to BLS data released last month and summarized by InsuranceJobs.com.
