The U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration has announced that certain employers covered by OSHA-approved state plans must electronically report injury and illness data for calendar year 2017, even if their state plan has not yet adopted such a rule.
Employers must submit the Form 300A data for 2017 through the Injury Tracking Application, or ITA, online portal by July 1, OSHA said. There will be no retroactive requirement for employers covered by state plans that have not adopted a state rule to submit data for calendar year 2016.
