DWC Sets Public Hearing on Designated Doctor Reimbursement Proposal

The Texas Division of Workers’ Compensation has scheduled a public hearing to receive testimony on the agency’s proposed amendments to designated doctor billing and reimbursement rules. The hearing, which will be held via Zoom, is scheduled for 11 a.m. on Jan. 23. DWC has proposed amendments to 28 Texas Administrative Code Chapter 133 and 28 TAC Chapter 134 rules to improve billing and reimbursement for specific services, including designated doctor examinations, required medical examinations, work status reports, maximum medical improvement evaluations and impairment rating...
