The lawyer Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis named to head the Division of Administrative Hearings, which houses the workers' compensation court system, has resigned, four months after a Senate panel declined to consider his appointment. Chief Judge John MacIver, who had been criticized as inexperienced and ill-qualified, said in a letter dated Monday that he would step down June 19.
