Hilb Group Appoints President and COO

The Hilb Group, a national insurance brokerage headquartered in Richmond, Virginia, announced Friday that it appointed David Hobbs as president and chief operating officer effective Oct. 1. Hobbs reports directly to Chief Executive Officer Robert Hilb. Hobbs began working with Hilb Rogal & Hobbs Co. in 1992 as a sales representative. Hobbs became president of the Alabama region in 1999, where he was head of operations for one of the largest offices in the HRH system until it was acquired by the Willis Group in 2008.
