Changes to Voc-Rehab Fees Would Be Cost-Neutral, Department Says

The Minnesota Department of Labor has announced what officials are calling "cost-neutral" changes to workers' compensation vocational rehabilitation fees. The department also plans to adopt the fees and other rules without a public hearing,  unless one is requested by at least 25 people, in keeping with state law, officials said. Comments can be made until May 31. Vocational rehab fees have long been an issue in Minnesota, and insurers have complained that the state provides one of the most generous fee structures in the country.
