The National Guideline Clearinghouse, which for nearly two years has been at the center of a debate over evidence-based treatment guidelines in workers’ comp, will be discontinued in July, a federal agency announced Monday.
The Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality within the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services decided to end support of the clearinghouse effective July 16, according to a statement at the NGC website, Guideline.gov. AHRQ funded the NGC for $1.2 million in fiscal year 2017, an agency spokesman said.
