The New York State Inspector General’s Office announced that a stenographer pleaded guilty to routinely inflating billing invoices in a scheme that netted $187,700.
Laura Hayes, 47, on Monday pleaded guilty to grand larceny. She is due back in court for sentencing Dec. 10.
Hayes is the owner and operator of Quality Court Reporting, a stenographic service in Central New York.
