The Texas Department of Insurance has proposed rules to implement a new law extending professional licensing reciprocity to members of the military.
Lawmakers in 2019 passed SB 1200, which recognizes out-of-state licenses held by spouses of military members. The reciprocity was intended to allow spouses of service members to bypass curriculum and testing when a service member changes duty stations.
