House Approves Gov's Recommendation to Extend COVID Presumption Period

The Virginia House of Delegates on Wednesday unanimously concurred in a recommendation of Gov. Ralph Northam to extend the period during which COVID-19 would be presumed compensable for first responders. The House voted 97-0 to concur with the governor’s recommendations that would make the presumption in House Bill 2207, by Del. Jerraud “Jay” Jones, D-Norfolk, to run from July 1, 2020, through Dec. 31.
