Sprains and strains from mishandling materials is the leading cause of workplace injuries, according to a report released Monday by Travelers Cos., which analyzed more than 1.5 million workers' compensation claims filed between 2010 and 2014.
The report says 32% of workplace injuries are caused by material handling; 16% by slips, trips and falls; 10% from being struck or colliding with an object; and 7% by accidents involving tools.
