The South Carolina Supreme Court issued two decisions this week finding that workers who fell while at work were entitled to compensation for their injuries, even though there was nothing about their work that had caused them to fall.
“We find no legal authority indicating clumsiness is an exception to workers' compensation,” the court majority said in its decision in Barnes v. Charter 1 Realty, handed down Wednesday.
