CMS Updates Medicare Secondary Payer Handbook

The Centers for Medicare Services has released an updated version of its reference guide for workers’ compensation Medicare set-aside arrangements. The 128-page guide explains the process CMS uses to approve proposed workers’ comp Medicare set-aside amounts. Although there’s no requirement for sending a proposed agreement to CMS for review, the agency has established policies and procedures for those who do so.
