Tobin Lucks LLP Family announces passing of Founding Partner, Donald Patrick Tobin

It is with profound sadness that the Tobin Lucks LLP family announces the passing of founding partner, Donald Patrick Tobin on August 9, 2021. Donald practiced in the workers' compensation community from 1967 until his retirement in 2018.

From 1967 to1974, Donald was Assistant Vice President and headed the legal department at Republic Indemnity Company. From 1974 until 1982 he was a partner at Allan, Rhodes & Sobelsohn until deciding to open up his own firm.

In 1982, Donald and co-founding partner, Irvin Lucks, began the firm Tobin Lucks LLP, where he mentored a generation of attorneys from 1982 until his retirement. Donald was a giant among workers' compensation defense counsel, and one of the best trial attorneys. He will be missed.
