DWC Seeks Input on Informal Designated Doctor Billing and Reimbursement Rules

The Texas Division of Workers’ Compensation has published informal working draft rule amendments for the agency’s designated doctor billing and reimbursements rules and is seeking input on the proposed changes.  The informal draft rule amendments would make changes to DWC’s Chapter 133, General Medical Provisions and Chapter 134, Guidelines for Medical Services, Charges, and Payments. According to DWC, the draft rule amendments are intended to improve the designated doctor program by attracting physicians to serve as designated doctors.
