A Gulfport, Miss., woman admitted Friday in court that she staged a fall inside a federal courthouse to get worker's compensation benefits.
Tracy Ann Ball, 34, pleaded guilty to felony insurance fraud on Friday before Circuit Judge Jerry Terry, who ordered her to make full restitution and pay $1,812 in court costs and fines.
She collected $18,500 in benefits after filing a claim for a fall at the federal courthouse, where she was working as a painter. She staged a fall from a 10-foot-tall ladder, according to the Sun Herald.
