Labor Committee Passes Neuropsych, RFA Bills

The California Senate Committee on Labor and Industrial Relations passed measures that would restore the qualified medical evaluator designation for neuropsychologists and require physicians to send treatment requests to claims administrators. During a June 8 meeting, the committee voted 4-0 to pass AB 2086 and AB 2503 AB 2086, by Assemblymembers Ken Cooley, D-Rancho Cordova, and Devon Mathis, R-Visalia, would direct the Division of Workers’ Compensation to bring back the QME designation for neuropsychologists that it eliminated last year.
