Utah Sets Annual Workers' Comp Conference

The Utah Labor Commission conducts its fifth annual Utah Workers' Compensation Educational Conference May 1-2 at the Sheraton City Centre in Salt Lake City. A commission spokesman said Tuesday this year's conference will focus heavily on medical issues. Topics include presentation on orthopedic surgery, spinal injuries, HIPAA and other medical issues; an update on appeals by the commission's general counsel; issues related to Medicare, return-to-work topics; premium trends; changes in rules, and medical fee and treatment guidelines.
