Labor Commission Proposes Attorney Fee Increase

The Utah Labor Commission is proposing a small increase of less than 1% to the maximum attorney fees payable for cases argued before the commission, the court of appeals and the state’s high court. A rule-making proposal published in the May 15 Utah State Bulletin proposes to increase the fee for legal services provided before the commission to $18,728 from $18,590. Maximum reimbursement for services provided in a case that goes to an appellate court would increase to $27,017 from $26,819 under the proposal.
