Nevada Insurance Commissioner Scott Kipper announced Wednesday he has approved an average rate decrease of 7.6% for workers' compensation insurers in the state, largely because of reduced claims frequency.Additionally, Kipper said there will be a 3.7% decrease for policies in the assigned risk program.The new rates take effect March 1 and will apply to risks as of their anniversary rating dates.
