Thirty California counties filed complaints accusing a handful of drug manufacturers of negligence and creating a public nuisance by aggressively marketing opioids.
The law firm of Baron and Budd, which has offices in Encino and Solano Beach, as well as Louisiana, Texas and Washington, D.C., said it filed the lawsuits on behalf of the counties that have organized what the firm is calling the “California Opioid Consortium.”
Counties that filed complaints this week include Contra Costa, Marin, Monterey, San Diego and Sacramento.
